Set your house in order!

It is house cleaning time! and it is time to clean your house if your house is not clean.
Listen to this parable: The house that I speak of is your life.

You clean and care for the home you live in so that the quality of your life will be as good as it can be. You like beauty, order, and pleasant surroundings. You like to be able to find things when you need them, so you keep them in order. When friends come over, you rejoice when the home is clean, and offer excuses when it is not. So you clean your house and keep it as best you can. .

This is what I desire for your life as well: a clean life

Let me examine the things which are in your heart and in your mind.
Let me examine the very things you do, think and meditate on.
As I examine you

through the light of my word and
through the truth of my Spirit,
if I find anything that is not clean, or in improper order,
then give yourself to setting them right before me.

I will help you.

If your house is not clean then listen to the word of the Lord.

Though your house may have been clean in former days and set in God given order, yet as the days have passed, things have come in to clutter and to confuse you. Things have piled up and not been put away, and you are tripping over them.

It is time to take out the garbage.
It is time to let the Light shine bright into the dark corners where the light has been dim, so as to reveal what needs to be done.
It is time to look under the rugs for those things which have been swept and hidden there.
It is time to clean your house.

I will go with you and show you those things that need to be cleansed out. I desire that your whole house be set in order and be a place filled with my glory. I want your house filled with things I delight in, not a house filled with the junk of this world and of the things man savors.

As the house is cleansed

from the porch to the porch,
from the attic to the basement,
from the closet to the living room,
and from the sink to the refrigerator,

My excellent presence shall be made known to you more and more.

If this is your desire,

put out what I show you to put out,
straighten what I show you to straighten
fix what I show you to fix,
and clean what I show you to clean.

In this way, your life will come into the planned order I desire for you.

If you will purge yourself of the things that are corrupt,

you shall be a vessel made ready for the Master's use.

If you shall put away the things that clutter,

you will make room for the Master's order and glory.

If you turn aside from the things that this world offers,

you shall have room for the true riches of the kingdom of heaven.

Do not be afraid that I will reject you or condemn you if you come to me and confess that your house is out of order.

I will forgive your sin.
I will be gracious to you.
I will help you get things back on track.
I have no pleasure in you continuing in your confused and cluttered life.
I am the author of order and peace, and desire to establish you in all the fullness of my grace.

So empty out the dregs of the cup you have been drinking from, full of the sediment of former days, that I may put new wine into your cup and fill your house with a new freshness, and the sweet fragrance of my presence, which will blow away all the sour and stale things of your life.

Is this not your desire?

That I should fill your life with my fullness, my sweetness, my presence and my glory?
That you would know me in all the greatness of my ways?
That you could see the beauty of my order in your life?

If this is true in you, then let the house of your life be cleansed and clean.
