There are many ways to communicate the kinds of things that will bring life.
Jesus spoke and read the Words of God. Later, the Words Jesus spoke and that
the Holy Spirit inspired were written down for us to read. The Lord continues
to use writing to communicate to us in these days. These articles are not the
inspired Word of God (additions to the scriptures) but they are inspired by the
Word of God and by the Holy Spirit

What do you Believe?

At first glance, you might be considering what your doctrine is in light of this question: What Do You Believe? And while it is extremely important to have good sound doctrine, so that you are grounded and settled in the truth of God's word, primarily I am asking you another question. What's in your heart! How do you see yourself, your future, your world? Do you see it through the eyes of faith? Do you see it through the knowledge of God's great love? Do you see it through the many promises of God for your life? How you see your life will determine how you live your life.

Does God Really Care?

From time to time we find ourselves walking with friends that are in some really desperate situations. They are dealing with great disappointment. In each case the desperate situations are not short term. In fact, it is the long standing, seemingly never ending circumstances that are the most difficult. Some of our friends have passed the days where they asked questions like: "How long? How come? And Why?" They are now wondering if God really cares, or at least that is the way they feel deep down in their soul. Are things ever going to change?

Victorious in Christ

There is a lot of stuff happening in our life in between our victories that is not victorious. We often feel like we are going from struggle to struggle with a fleeting moment of victory here and there, rather than living a victorious life style. Is this really God’s best for us? Haven’t we been given some better advantage in Christ Jesus? Happily, yes!

Proverbs 1:5 A wise man will hear and increase learning,
And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel.

These articles are written for our growth in wisdom and understanding in walking out the very best the Lord has for our lives, our families, our churches, and our ministries.

The Call to Live Extraordinary Lives

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:16, 17

Embedded in the gospel of Christ is the power of God to release the full package of salvation to those who believe. Embedded in the gospel of Christ is the righteousness of God that is manifested in the lives of those who believe and live by their faith in what Christ has done for them. This is extraordinary.

Time

Ecclesiastes 3:11
He has made everything beautiful in its time. (NKJV)

As we move into a new years and getting older many of us are thinking about time. Here are some of my reflections.

In this fast paced, immediate gratification, quick fix world we tend to forget, and even fight the concept that many of the best things in life take time to develop. “We want what we want and we want it now!” could be the chant of many in this generation.

Setbacks or Setups?

Most of us are no strangers to setbacks, including me. They happen more often than we would like. Often our expectations are disappointed because of them. They can catch us by surprise and they have been known to stop what seems to be good progress. Nevertheless, for all their forced intrusions into our lives, they have the potential to serve a higher purpose when we learn how to process them in a life honoring way.

Drinking Lots of Water

Recently I have redoubled my efforts to drink lots of water. I have also decided to drink less of those things that provide an inordinate amount of sugar and caffeine. The result has been noticeable. I felt like it was a God assignment for the maintaining of my health, so I have been doing it. In the meantime all kinds of articles and facts have been called to our attention about the value of drinking water in abundance. One of them has to do with the quantity of water each day.

Be Christians

I have been pondering an interesting question that I would like to propose to you and then share some of my thoughts and answers.
"What would happen if all those who call themselves Christians behaved and lived like Christians?"

Many other questions spin off of this main one. Some may occur to you as well.
